What to expect

This flight gives you time to settle in: after take-off you look down into the valley, then the view opens up towards the Stubai Glacier and the Kalkkögel peaks. Your pilot flies a few wide turns before heading in to land.

It's a good middle ground between a short glide and a long thermal flight. From Innsbruck you reach the meeting point in about half an hour.

  • ~800 m of descent

From the launch at approx. 1,800 m to the landing meadow at approx. 1,000 m.

  • Stubai panorama

Neustift, the Stubai Valley and views all the way to the glacier.

  • Flight certificate

After landing you receive your personal flight certificate.

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find your question? Message us – we reply personally.

How long does it take in total?

Allow about an hour: meeting, gondola ride, briefing, 12 to 17 minutes of flying and landing in the valley.

Elfer or Schlick – which high-altitude flight is better?

Both are great. The Elfer sits right above Neustift; at Schlick 2000 you take off a little higher – and in winter it is our first choice.

Can I book at short notice?

If there are free slots in the calendar, yes. For weekends and school holidays we recommend booking a few days ahead.

What happens in bad weather?

Safety comes first. If wind, rain or thunderstorms rule out a flight, we reschedule it free of charge.

What should I bring?

Sturdy ankle-high shoes, windproof jacket, long trousers, sunglasses – in winter also gloves and warm layers.
