What to expect

Early in the morning the air usually sits still over the valley. That makes for an especially smooth flight – ideal if it's your first time under a paraglider or you're a little wary of heights.

Staying in Innsbruck? You'll be back by late morning, or you can turn it into a hiking day in the Stubai Valley. The flight is short; the rest of the day is yours.

  • Low morning light

The sun sits low and the peaks around Neustift look sharp and three-dimensional – great for photos.

  • Calm air

Mornings are usually the calmest time of day. A relaxed way to start flying.

  • Compact

About 45 minutes from meeting point to landing – it fits into any holiday day.

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find your question? Message us – we reply personally.

What time does the morning flight start?

At 8:30 or 9:00 am. There are no other times for the morning flight – if later suits you better, choose the trial flight or the high-altitude flight at the Elfer.

Is it shorter than the high-altitude flight?

Yes, you're in the air for 8 to 10 minutes. If you'd like a longer flight, the high-altitude flight at the Elfer gives you 12 to 17 minutes.

What should I wear in the early morning?

It's cooler at the take-off site than in the valley. Bring a windproof jacket and long trousers, even in midsummer.

What happens in bad weather?

Safety comes first. If wind, rain or thunderstorms rule out a flight, we reschedule it free of charge.

What should I bring?

Sturdy ankle-high shoes, windproof jacket, long trousers, sunglasses – in winter also gloves and warm layers.
